My diner was destroyed by flooding and a tree that fell thru the roof last week.  Insurance is covering the cost of a rebuild and I figured that since I have to rebuild everything, I may as well build it differently than I had it before.  It had less of a retro look to it and more of the modern day family restaurant vibe to it.  This time around I would like to design it with a 50’s type décor, complete with the silver metal siding around the edges of the tables, countertops, bar, and bar stools.  I prefer the red vinyl barstools wrapped around the outer rim with silver grooved aluminum and aluminum legs, if I can find them for sale somewhere.  I may have to have them fabricated.  There’s an interesting store around the corner from here that also sells old type statues of things like Elvis and Betty Boop.  That could also help add to the theme.
